"Why Do I Answer "Coach Coleman"?

ONE ON ONE TRAINING PROGRAM

I am Coach Keith Coleman, and I, along with my wife, Fonda, founded, operate and oversee the One On One Basketball Training Program here in Kingwood, Texas. I am also the active head coach of our elite youth basketball team, The One On One Cardinals, for girls and boys, ages 8 to 18.  I actively teach The One On One year-round basketball training program; where your child is professionally trained during participation in the school basketball season and continues training during participation in our off-season tournament basketball program and, yes, even at the end of our tournament program training continues until the beginning of the school season.

One On One is a year-round training program personally taught by me, consisting of strength training in our gym, film and playbook study in our classroom and skills training on our basketball courts, designed to keep your child in shape and continually improve their skills all year.

THE CARDINAL CENTER IN KINGWOOD, TEXAS

One On One Basketball and The Cardinal Center Is The Chosen Training Facility For The Off-Season Training Programs For The Kingwood High School Boys' and Girls' Varsity Basketball Teams.

One on One Basketball Provides Training and Coaching For Youth Basketball Teams Who Actively Participate In The Spring and Summer Tournament Series Hosted by PrimeTime Sportz And Also Plays In One AAU National Championship Tournament At The End Of The Summer Tournament Series.

One on One owns the only year-around youth basketball training facility in the greater Houston area, just 22 miles north of downtown Houston. If you would like to see your child's basketball skills elevated to the next level, now you can by enrolling in One One One's Basketball Training Program and also becoming a member of the One on One Cardinals and participating in tournament play at a national level in the school off season.

As with any other skill a child develops, be it music, art, sports, etc., private training is the backbone of success. One On One provides this through professional instruction and training by Coach Coleman and his personally trained staff to provide a state of the art basketball development program.  One on One's basketball team, The Cardinals, who are required to train year-around at our facility have become one of the most prestigious "out of school" basketball prgrams in the greater Houston area.

The wood floor in the Cardinal Center came from Texas Christian University (TCU).    It was the flooring out of the Brown-Lupton Student Center.  The Brown-Lupton Student Center was completed in 1955.  The building went through significant renovations in 1967 and 1997.  The center housed the main kitchen for cafeteria, several small food service areas, the university store, offices and meeting rooms for the student house of representatives, a large common study-lounge area, study rooms, the chancellor’s dining room and the ballroom with its seating capacity of more than seven hundred.   The ballroom is where most of the flooring was retrieved.  It is said that every student who attended TCU from 1955 to 2008 walking on at least one piece of the cardinal center gym floor.

The solid oak was made by the The Partee Flooring Mill out of Magnolia, Arkansas.  The Partee Mill was started October 7th, 1948 when Cal Partee Senior purchased a small dimension mill from Long Bell lumber company.

The flooring was removed and de-nailed by Terry Cunningham Construction out of Hillsboro, Texas.  That is where on September 4th 2008 Coach Keith Coleman drove a Ryder rent truck to pick up over 4,000 sq feet of flooring.   The flooring was in the Cardinal Center when Hurricane Ike came through devastating the greater Houston area, but the wood flooring did not get damaged. The flooring remained in Cardinal Center until December 17th, 2008 when work began to put it down.  The project took 15 days to complete. The only day the floor was not worked on was Christmas day.  The project was completed on January 2nd, 2009. The significant workers on the flooring project were:  Natalie Wenter, Stephen Schaefer, William Arthur, Mark Miller, Kathy Miller, Fonda Coleman,  and Coach Keith Coleman.

So, come join us at One on One Basketball and learn to play on a bit of Texas History and let's get your child out on the court!
